Help Glenn Fight

On July 10th, what started out as an ER trip for severe back pain, turned into the terrible night our family learned the devastating news that Glenn, my step-father, had cancer.  In the next few days, we learned that his cancer was Mulitple Myeloma, a relatively uncommon cancer but the second most common blood cancer.  No one knows what causes it, most people diagnosed are at least 65 years old,  and statistics show there is a .7% chance of getting it.  Obviously, our minds were blown and we still question to this day, "how did this happen?"

Since then, Glenn has had radiation treatment and a triple drug therapy regimen.  Along the way, he unfortunately experienced many setbacks.  The most difficult being a bilateral pulminary embolism that he is still, slowly recovering from and has made his fight even more difficult.

My mother is his caregiver 24/7, which means she is not able to work.

In February, Glenn and my mother will travel to Charleston where he will have a stem cell transplant.  They will be there for at least 8 weeks.  I've never wanted anything more in my life than for this treatment to work.  To put him into remission.  We need this to work.  It has to work.  He has a beautiful new grandson he has to spend time with.

Glenn is fighting...and he has a long road ahead.  I'm asking for your help in his fight.  I've created this page to raise funds for the extreme financial burden that has been laid at their door.  Travel, food, co-pays, prescriptions, and not to mention the everyday bills like the mortgage.
