Warren Glenn Luthi was diagnosed in 2016 with Stage 4 colon cancer. He successfully had the cancer removed on 09/16/16. Thankful for a second lease on life, Glenn went about his life and enjoyed it to the fullest after having this life altering disease.
On 07/16/17, 10 months to the day of surgery, Glenn went for a post-op check up only to learn that cancer had returned and this time it was in his liver. The doctors told him the cancer was inoperable; in short, it was terminal. They gave him around 18 months to live. He continued to do all he could to live life to the fullest and even in the very last stages of his battle, he attended the St Patrick’s Day Parade and Opening Day of The Kansas City Royals just last month. The latter coming just 3 short weeks ago.
Since the second diagnosis, Glenn endured chemotherapy every other week with 3 treatments per week in an attempt to treat the cancer and hopefully prolong his life. Unfortunately, chemo yielded little to no results. The cancer has spread throughout his body and on 4/15/19, Hospice told him he has less than a week to live.
During the course of his long battle he has been unable to work. Many of the medications were not covered by insurance and the cost of medication and chemo treatment has far outweighed any disability income.
Glenn did not have life insurance. This Go Fund Me has been established to help Glenn’s fiancée Jess with upcoming memorial service fees and any bills that have remained as a result of this terrible disease. Any help at at all is greatly appreciated and every dollar counts.
