Glenn Uden - Funeral - Gone 2 Soon

 

 

Wednesday, November 8, 2017, was the night that I lost my best friend and the love of my life. At approximately 9pm, two deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Carson Station visited our home, bringing extremely bad news with them: 

Glenn Uden, my beloved husband of more than 34 years, was struck and killed by a driver of a car as he crossed 223rd Street at Edgar Avenue in the city of Carson, CA while walking in an unmarked crosswalk.

Glenn had just turned 59-years old on October 24th.  He was too young to be taken from us!  I don't know how this happened or why he was even there.  I just know that he was on foot and he was on his way back home. The deputies said they couldn't give me any information until done with their investigation and finished with the accident report which usually takes a month or sometimes longer. 

In the meantime, our two youngest children (Glen and Sarah) are employed and taking care of me while I continue my battle with stage 3b colorectal cancer. Although I regret having to ask for donations so that my husband can have a dignified funeral, I hate having to watch our children struggle with the heavy burden that's been laid on their shoulders already. They can simply carry no more.
