Band Van Down

Stranded but still singing!

*update* July 21st 3pm
WE DID IT! We got the Van! Thank you, thank you, thank you! We love you guys and we are running good. For all of you that donated, we are forever grateful and eagerly await a chance to pay you back in anyway that we can. You have saved us!
The tour must go on.

*Update* July 21st.
Our Sprinter Van is still in the shop this moring, but we wanted to give you the precise details. Our van is a 2003 by the way; the high pressure fuel pump AND the low pressure fuel pump have both gone out, which in Dodge Mercedes are very expensive parts. The fuel tank along with a good portion of the engine had to be pulled out!
They do have it running now! Praise the Lord! But we are still waiting on a few more parts. Hopefully we will get to Wyoming tonight.

We regret to say that our "miracle van" aka our new Sprinter is in the shop leaving us stranded in Utah, there are worse places, of course, but this could mean we won't be able to finish our tour that just started to Wyoming and beyond. We have a $3200 dollar obstacle in our way, but we won't give up and we won't quit, however this is a tough blow that even the most successful independent bands can't dream of swallowing. We need your help to get our wheels back on the Highway and grooving again.

Gleewood is comprised of not one but two husband and wife members Jhett and Callie Sioux (lead vocals, bass and lead guitar) plus Bill and Heather (backing vocals, rhythm guitar and drums).
We are an Americana band from New Mexico that grooves through blues, folk, and rock 'n' roll. Jhett and Callie Sioux's lyrics lend a story to folk and roots music enthusiasts and bring an energy that swells into dynamic jams pumped from the heart of the psychedelic 60s. Gleewood is steeped in a vintage vibe and is poured out over an icy fresh dose of the 21st century. Jhett's bass baritone grit welds uniquely with Callie's high, clear, soprano vocals to create a sound that Why We Listen, LA described as "Coffee and cream with a shot of whiskey." Gleewood's latest album, "Sweet, Sweet Time" released in December of 2016 was nominated for "Best Rock Album of the Year" by New Mexico Music Awards 2017.

Stay Groovy
