GOAL: serve the Thai community through volunteer efforts

Hello,

My name is Gillian. I was recently given the opportunity to attend the Global Leadership Adventures’ (“GLA”) 2016 summer volunteer program. The GLA is the Peace Corps’ Teen Program.

This summer, through the GLA, I want to help the Chiang Mei, Thai community through SERVICE.

While in Chiang Mei, the GLA will be able to assist in projects such as:

· Teaching English to local primary school students

· Building sanitation systems for food and water

· Renovating local homes and buildings

· Helping local farmers in the rice paddies


GLA’s mission statement is:

"To provide life-changing experiences that will cultivate a global perspective and open-mindedness in students that will ultimately inspire them to become great leaders and global thinkers and seek positive change in their own communities."

Here is where I need your help! In order to serve with the GLA, I need to raise $5,000 to fund my volunteer experience. With your donation, you can help change a life, community, and support the GLA’s mission to cultivate a global perspective in this ever changing and growing world we share.
