With your help, I can fulfill a 4-year long dream of studying in South Korea - all I need is a 50p here or there to eventually add up, I am not expecting much, it all counts & every little helps. I appreciate it all :)
A SUMMARY OF MY PROJECT -
I am hoping to raise £10,000 overall for my year-long exchange placement at Ewha University in South Korea.
WHAT IS IT AND WHY I WANT TO GO? -
This exchange program will allow me to study in South Korea for a whole academic year. I am keen to go as I want to engage and immerse myself in the rich history and culture of South Korea as it will benefit me greatly. The opportunity to study at Ewha University would give me a fresh and enterprising outlook to a completely new part of my life and would allow me to achieve so much from it. Studying Korean history, politics and Korea's laws to overall widen my understanding of historical contexts and their political influences to then use them to achieve my career goal of working within the great media that South Korea has to offer, allowing me to then give back and help others. This has always been my dream and South Korea is the first step to my long-lasting dream. My end goal is to move to South Korea upon graduation and to then once again achieve my career goal. Studying abroad in South Korea will go a long way to help me to achieve those goals. - it is my first step :)
Note- I would also like to mention that without being able to study in Korea I will not be able to afford an education ( or ever go to a university ) to achieve my further goals in life let alone this one, so it really does mean a lot to me, even if it is 50p or by simply sharing !
WHO AM I?
Hi (and thanks for taking your time to read my gofundmepage)!
My name is Ella and I am currently a collage student. I'm an enthusiastic, motivated individual who strives to be the best I can possibly be, with that I like to help people too ! In my spare time, I actively partake in language exchanges with native Koreans to learn more about the culture and Korean language. I am also studying hard to learn the Korean language so that I can reach my full potential in Korea. I have always been interested in the history and culture of South Korea. My desire to study history at a Korean institution grew when I started to read books on the history and culture of the country, I honestly fell in love, especially because I have always loved any kind/form of both history and culture. At this point, I knew that I wanted to broaden my life experiences and my education.
