UK Fundraiser for Victims of Albanian Earthquake

On November 26th, a deadly earthquake of a 6.4 magnitude which lasted 30 seconds has struck my home country of Albania. This disaster has taken the lives of 51 people, over 3,000 have been injured. Countless of families have severely been affected, many losing their homes as well as family members. Since then 1,300 after-shock quakes continue to shatter the country. It is the strongest earthquake to hit Albania in more than 40 years, and currently listed as the worlds deadliest earthquake of 2019.
The aftermath of the event, has left 12,000 people homeless as 7,900 buildings were destroyed and damaged to the extent where they are unsafe for locals to reside in. As a result, a state of emergency was declared by the Albanian government. A fraction of those effected are currently living in temporary accommodation in stadiums inside tents or in hotels, thousand are still in need of accommodation, food supplies and medical care.
The demand is high for food, clothing, blankets, baby milk and hygiene products. Albania lacks the capacity to do this alone, and reconstruct what has been lost. As a result, I will use all donations to assist people impacted by the earthquake.
About me:
My name is Ruk Krasniqi I am from Albanian descendancy, I currently live in the London. However, my family and friends that live in Albania and are among those which have been affected by this natural disaster. As a result, I can understand and empathise with those, who are victims of this unfortunate event.
I have organised this fundraiser in order to help support individuals effected, by makeing sure sufficient amount of resources are supplied in order to assist victims of the earthquake to rebuild what they have lost. All money raised will go directly to Albania. Every pound given will go to providing food, shelter and most importantly medical assistance to those in need.
I will be travelling back and forth to Albania, in order to support with the efforts to rebuild what has been lost. I will update everyone on this page as well as on my personal social media platform, Instagram (rkrasniqiiii), for those that want to keep in contact and reach out to me on the progress can also contact me through my personal email ([E-Mail ausgeblendet]).
