Help Cheryl Get Medical Help So She Can Work

My husband and I are currently making ends meet with only his SSI and a small union pension that he gets. Right now I am not contributing anything to our household bills due to the fact that I have broken the tip of my tibia in my knee which has rendered me unable to walk. I have also strained (or torn) a ligament.
I was in the process of looking for a new job when this occurred. No job means no medical insurance. I went to the ER when this happened and already have a $1900 bill. They told me to get an MRI, but the MRI is $600 and if I want to make payments, it’s $300 down. I can’t even afford the down payment.
I have already had surgery (in 2005) on my other knee and know I’m going to need surgery on this one.
My family needs this help in order to relieve stress on all of us. I am asking for any help I can get. At least to be able to start the ball rolling. I am so grateful for all of the help I can get.
