On Wednesday 9/11/19, my 14yr old cousin Andrey was riding his minibike by the local high school and ran into a chain barrier that he didn't notice. The chain caught him by the neck, knocking him off the bike. The chain sliced his throat and broke his neck. His trachea (windpipe) was mangled so he couldn't speak. Some nearby students saw him and called 911. He was rushed by ambulance to the hospital. He was covered in blood to the point where it took police over 2 hours to identify him. He is currently being held in a medical coma and is being transferred to Harborview Medical Center. They have inserted a breathing tube into his throat and will perform 2 more surgeries, one to fix his mangled trachea, and another to fix the 4 broken vertebrae in his neck. We're praying that he makes it through surgery and doesn't end up paralyzed. His parents and 3 siblings are in tears and asking everyone to pray for Andrey.
