Giving In South Africa

Black Celebrity Giving is heading to South Africa with one goal - to give back! We need your help and support as we voyage to the country of South Africa for our 2nd Annual service + vacation mission trip. Giving in South Africa takes place November 5 -12th, 2017.

During these days BCG and our amazing attendees will host a number of mission events benefitting a local village, rural communities, the arts, women and children and much more.

Raising these funds will allow us to serve the country and the people with unmatched service so we need your help! Funds will be used to help pay for shipping of our collected items to include:

School Supplies - Crayons, Construction Paper, Pens, Pencils, Markers and Binders.

Feminine Hygiene Products and Toiletries - In South Africa there is a term “Shame Days” meaning women and girls miss school and work during their monthly cycles. Many families simply cannot afford hygiene products. Our goal is to supply a village of people with a year supply of items for every woman or girl in the home. Items we’ll purchase with funds include: Tampons, Maxi-pads, Feminine Wipes, Toothbrushes, Tissue, Toothpaste, Washcloths, Lotion, reusable bags and Deodorant.

Entrepreneurship - We want to help local entrepreneurs flourish many of our 50 attendees are entrepreneurs themselves, providing local residents with tools and supplies from business cards to a small stipend to get their business running is the goal.

Art Supplies - Canvasses, Paint, Paint Brushes, Crayons, Markers, Construction Paper, Crafts.

School Uniforms and Supplies - We will be visiting South Africa during the summer and we will provide youth with a back to school needs, youth will be able to get a school uniform as well as a play outfit, boys and girls underwear and socks all sizes are need.

Funding will also be used to help bring clean water to rural communities and build housing with local South African NGO’s. We will have the opportunity to work within villages helping families living below the marginal lines by providing youth with school clothing, supplies and shoes and provide citizens with care packages of food and toiletries.

Our goal is to serve over 5,000 South African citizens through the arts, health initiatives, clothing, toiletries and food. This year BCG celebrates six years of service in the US and embarking on our second mission to serve in another country is a dream come true. Beyond a mission of service, our goal is to show the world just how beautiful South Africa is with an ultimate goal of increasing tourism and revenue to the country.
