Giving Jazmine a brighter future

All mothers want the best for their children; I am no exception to this. My child, however, is an exception. My daughter Jazmine is such an amazing young woman, and she is destined to do amazing, life-changing things in this world. Jazmine is an incredibly talented and passionate artist, a wonderful story teller and such a kind sensitve empathetic soul. Everyone Jazmine comes into contact with goes out of their way to tell me just how exceptional she is. She’s having trouble fitting in at her traditional public school. Jazmine is biracial and also proudly supports the LGBTQ+ community which causes problems among her peers in school. She always tries to see the best in people so she has a hard time understanding why she is left out of things which breaks my heart. In my attempt to find a fix for this ongoing problem I came to the conclusion that I needed to find her a different school to go to. That is when we found Grier. When her and I started researching this school we both immediately fell in love and knew it was the perfect fit. We toured the campus, met with staff and some of the students and that is when it became abundantly clear that this school is exactly where Jazmine belongs. Having her go to this school would be life changing for her. Jazmine has always had such a fire inside of her and as of lately I see that fire inside of her dim every day she goes to school. I know that if she were to go to Grier that fire would be fanned and fostered until it became her entire being and THAT is what she deserves and needs. I am a single mother and I work full time but with the current economic climate and just the fact that I am our only source of income I still need help coming up with the rest of her tuition. That is why I am asking for help which is not at all something I like to do. But for Jazmine I will do anything. Please if you can find it in your heart and your economic situation allows it please help Jazmine attend Grier. It's where she belongs and it's exactly what she needs to do all the amazing things I know she is capable of doing.
