Make Hope Happen - Bear's Cancer

We need your help in making hope happen for our dad Dave Badstubner aka "Bear". In June of 2017, our dad was diagnosed with stage 3-4 Hodgkins lymphoma. Hodgkins lymphoma is a cancer that starts in the white blood cells within your immune system and then spreads throughout the body. He immediately started chemotherapy, however after 10 months of treatments he is still not in remission. It is now imperative that he receive a stem cell transplant. Stem cell transplants are very hard on the body. His transplant will require a long stay in the hospital in isolation and afterwards it can take weeks and months to know how the transplant will turn out. If the transplant is successful, he will then have to undergo an additional 18 cycles of chemotherapy. 

In order to make the above happen our parents will need to relocate closer to the hospital in Portland, Oregon by April 11th for two months. This will mean additional, unexpected expenses such as lodging, food, fuel and medical supplies. 

This has been a long hard journey for our parents and they are growing weary. It is our hope that together as family, friends and community we can take away their financial burden for the next two months so that they can focus on defeating cancer.
