My name is Nicholle but I’m more commonly known as Nymphadora - my little brothers name is Oscar, I am 21 years old and he is 19 I love the color yellow and he loves red. My favorite thing to do is laugh and his is to make me and both of us have lived in the United States since the age of 3 and 5.
For 16 years this country, this soil, these people are the only thing we’ve ever known - because our parents decided that they wanted to give us a life that was more than the bare minimum. That was more than just what we needed to survive.
We grew up and played along side your children, cried over the same shows and got frustrated over the same homework.
In early 2010 is when it all began, finally my family was fortunate enough to finally be granted the opportunity to applying for citizenship, after that we were granted our work permits in 2014 and now that we have worked, pushed, and powered through the mandatory 3 year wait to residency - here we are.
Everything was fine and dandy with our process until a few days ago the trump administration decided to crack down on an already impossible process - they have made residency applicants aware of the 1200k+ fee they will be requiring and with our luck we were told a WEEK before our work permit and Visa EXPRIRES -
now we are hard working Latinos who would rather work than ask for money and that’s exactly what we planned on doing but per request of the absolute kindness of complete strangers ive met - I have set this up for anybody who has decided that they are tired of not being able to help those who need it, and want to do what they can to show this administration that we deserve to be here too, but can’t order some of my yummy tacos ☺️
