My daughter's Diabetic Alert Dog

Elizabeth was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes on February 11th 2014. Over a period of 3-4 months had lost close to 25lbs...@ 5' 2" weighing only 74lbs. Weak and tired. ...unable to be active the way she had been, finally realizing that something was seriously wrong we brought her in. The diagnosis was something we did not expect nor were we prepared for. Her life was changed forever so I began researching anything and everything that can make my baby girl's life easier. Her father and I live in a constant fear of the highs and the lows that can bring serious consequences to her long-term health. Elizabeth Is a growing teenager and wants to remain as independent as possible however lives with a constant reminder of this disease. The company Diabetic Alert Dogs of America offers a piece of mind and a sense of stability for anyone who lives with diabetes. Her dog will be able to sense a change in her blood sugar within 15 to 30 points. In the middle of the night while she is sleeping this dog will alert us if her blood sugar is too low it can save her from going into a coma , having seizures and possibly dying.
