Goose's Vet Bill

Donation protected
Hey everyone. I'm Christina. I'm starting this fund because I'm desperate and devastated. Our black lab Goose is 9 months old and has a very hefty vet bill from eating part of a blanket. A little backstory about what's going on:On Sunday, July 26th Goose vomited for the 4th time in under 12 hours. We started him on a bland diet of boiled chicken and rice. By Monday afternoon, he hadn't had a bowel movement in over 24 hours. Our vet wanted us to bring him in for x-rays. The x-rays were inconclusive so we were referred to the after hours emergency vet. They gave us some options, the most severe being invasive exploratory surgery. We opted for subcutaneous fluids and monitoring overnight. Tuesday morning, we returned to our regular vet for follow up x-rays, which were also inconclusive. We have been referred to another clinic to have an ultrasound done. This will give the most precise imaging to know where a blockage might be located. This is an alternative to cutting him completely open and searching his GI tract manually for any foreign body and blockage. He may still need surgery, but having the ultrasound will give them more precise information so if surgery is needed, it won't be as invasive. We are extremely cautious with Goose when he plays with toys. When he starts to destroy one, we take it and throw it away. The blanket was kept in his kennel and he only goes in there when no one is home. He's sneaky and we never even noticed he'd been chewing on it.If you know me, you know that Goose is a beloved part of my family. We don't have human children. Our 3 dogs are our kids and Goose is the baby. Not only that, but he is my husband's duck hunting buddy and his best friend. With the pandemic still raging, I feel awful for even asking for anyone to help. But I've got nowhere else to turn. I will list below the expenses so far and will update as we get more information.Banfield 7/27 initial radiographs $335.23ER vet fluids $148Banfield 7/28 follow up radiographs $357.67ultrasound - TBDThe amount requested is an estimate based on the advisement from our vet. Ultrasound will be a minimum of $500 if not more. I'll update the total as I get more precise information and expenses. Thank you to everyone willing to contribute. I know how tight money is right now. Your help will be invaluable and more appreciated than words can say.
