Hannah's Mission in Thailand&Laos

Trust in God. First and foremost, trust that God is faithful, loving, and does keep His promises. " For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." -Jeremiah 29:11. This scripture always gives me hope and courage. I have been holding firmly to this promise since the day of my salvation, July 8th, 2018. I was then baptized that same month on July 22nd at Crossover Church in Tampa and I can honestly say that submitting myself to God and allowing Him to be the boss over my life, was the absolute BEST decision I have ever made.
I recently graduated from the University of South Florida in July and am desperately in need of an adventure before I start my career. When I think of adventure, I think service. I want to serve, not only in my community, church, and country, but all over the world. Of course just like many people, I have a passion to travel. But with this passion, comes the desire to serve and glorify God. With my new found faith and with the expansion of my soul, I have had a yearning to explore opportunities to serve in Southeast Asia. I found an opportunity through GIVE Volunteers to spend two weeks in Thailand, and two weeks in Laos engaging in meaningful service.
The reason I consider this a "mission trip" for me even though it is not through a faith based organization or church, is because as I serve in Southeast Asia, it WILL indubitably be faith based for me. (I signed up through this organization to serve before I was saved.) I believe God will use me through this trip and will be leading me every step of the way. I trust that He will put the right people and opportunities on my path at the right time and place in order for me to share the Gospel and glorify Him through my testimony. I am eager to provide my service, time, prayers, empathy, and hard work to all of those I come in contact with. In Thailand and Laos, I would play an essential role in building eco-friendly educational infrastructures out of recycled materials, teaching and tutoring children, implementing water projects to provide clean water, and assisting in environmental conservation projects. Alongside engaging in meaningful service, there are some exciting excursions that my inner child spirit will absolutely cherish during this transition between college and my future career.
How can you help?
Here's the honest truth; I cannot travel to these countries to share God's word, spread love, and serve without the financial and prayer support of a community. It would be unrealistic to attempt to fund this trip on my own, and it would be arrogant for me not to ask for prayer, since I will be serving in a way that I've never had to before.
Together, we can both be a small part of what God is doing to uplift the communities in Thailand and Laos and also reach the other volunteers coming from all over the United States for they could be just as lost.
