We are seeking donations from the public for the construction of a well and hand pump to help the residents of a small village called Northern Community in Ghana who are in desperate need of clean and reliable water.

I am from Ghana in West Africa. Recently, my friend Pavitra das, the village chief in the Northern Community in Upper West Ghana, approached me and asked for my help in getting clean water for his village community. I have been to this village several times and can testify to the wonderful nature of the inhabitants.

The problem: the severe water shortage has become a crisis situation for the community. Currently, people in Northern Village rely on unsafe and unsanitary water sources such as the river or rainwater, which often leads to water shortages and unsafe drinking conditions. As it becomes increasingly difficult to obtain water, it is often reused in households and is frequently contaminated in various ways, leading to numerous health and hygiene problems.

The Solution: The best solution is to construct a borehole and connect a hand pump.

The Costs:

To address this urgent need, we are collaborating with local contractors to drill a borehole and establish a water collection system. This project is essential for ensuring safe and consistent water access for the entire village. However, it is a significant financial undertaking and requires the support of generous donors.
