<div>We are fundraising in collaboration with the Tufenkian Foundation, and the UNDP to bring <i>clean</i>, <i>efficient</i>, <i>environmentally</i> friendly and <i>reliable</i> hot water to these villagers!

<div><strong>Why does Svarants need solar water heaters?</strong> Because there is no reliable source of hot water in the village.

<div><strong>How do they work? </strong>The solar water heaters we want to bring are powered by UV radiation. This means that they work come rain or shine.

<div><strong>What more will this bring to the village? </strong>More than just a providing <em>a reliable source of hot water,</em> they will <em>reduce energy bills </em>in an <i>environmentally  sustainable </i>way.

<div>A solar water heater can reduce your water heating costs by 50–80%, depending on your location, system type, and usage.

<div>There will be <em>long-term payback. </em>While upfront costs may be higher than electric or gas heaters, solar systems typically pay for themselves in 4–7 years, after which the hot water is essentially free.

<div>There are huge <em>environmental benefits</em>. A solar water heater can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by up to 4 tons per year per household, contributing to climate change mitigation.

<div>And whats best, <em>low maintenance </em>and <em>long lifespan. </em>With minimal moving parts, solar water heaters generally require little maintenance and have a lifespan of 15–20 years.

<div>The two of us are only trying to raise funds for 5 solar heaters. Each unit costs cost £1,100 each. Altogether we are going to buy more than 60 solar heaters, one for every single house in Svarants!
