HEALTHY HABITAT PROJECT
This year, my family met two other families in the inland of Bahia state, Brazil, and we decided we needed to help eachother. While we live in the city, they live isolated without electricity, and virtually without water in a rural area of drought.
Living without water poses serious problems to a family with several young children, one of which is disabled, and another a newborn. We raised some money for hoses and taps so they could bring water to their houses.
It went well, so we want to continue and bring them a solar energy kit that will allow them to light rooms, charge phones, and maybe turn on a radio.
The darkness is not only a practical obstacle in a rural area with snakes as neighbors, it also has severe psychological implications. Helping them get access to electricity will also help them combat depression.
Please help if you can, and you can come visit as well, we are always happy to play dominos and chat.
