Some children don’t stop going to school because they don’t want to learn.
They stop because, quietly and unfairly, they can’t afford to stay.
Try to picture this for a moment.
Two children sitting in a classroom in Kerala.
Uniforms slightly worn, school bags held carefully, doing their best to keep up with lessons.
They laugh with their friends, answer questions, and try just like everyone else.
But somewhere in the background, there’s a thought they shouldn’t have to carry:
“Will I still be here next term?”
These are children from my mother’s class. This isn’t a distant story. It’s something I’ve seen through her eyes and heard in her voice. They are bright, sincere, and full of potential. The only thing standing in their way right now is something they cannot control-money.
£260 to be precise.
That’s all it takes to cover their tuition and school bus for the year. A small amount in some ways, but right now is their biggest source of worry.
This fundraiser is just a small effort to make sure that doesn’t happen.
For anyone who feels moved reading this, it’s a chance to help them stay where they belong without worry.
Because sometimes, all it takes is a few people coming together to quietly change the direction of a child’s life.
If you choose to help, even a small contribution makes a real difference. Not just financially, but in giving them the reassurance that they can continue without that worry.
I will collect the funds here in the UK, transfer everything directly to the school in Kerala, and share official receipts with everyone who contributes. The children’s identities will remain private, because their dignity matters.
The fundraiser will close on 01/06/2026, so I kindly request not to make any payments after this date. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to reach out to me directly.
Even if you’re unable to contribute, just taking a moment to read this means these children were seen today… and sometimes, that matters more than we realize.
Thank you
