Welcome! Meet Suzie and Willow. They are 12-year-old Pekingese/pug mixes. They came from a home almost two weeks ago where their needs weren't met (nails almost growing into their paws, matted fur, and smelled of urine).
They're doing much better already and beginning to run and act happy. The only thing holding them back is the extreme toothache pain they endure constantly. They have severe tarter on their teeth, and their gums are red and inflamed. They desperately need bloodwork to rule out any underlying illnesses and dental cleanings with extractions so they can be comfortable and enjoy a happy rest of their lives.
I'm not sure how long their mouths have been painful, but at this point, they won't eat dry food due to the pain, and they avoid having their faces touched. They are such sweet, loving dogs who deserve to be pain-free and given a chance to enjoy the rest of their lives.
They came from poor conditions where they weren't being well cared for. I want to provide them with a loving family and adequate care for the rest of their lives. I'm prepared to provide for future medical needs, but their unexpected arrival has made it impossible to get them their much-needed dental and extractions asap.
I'm a single mom and full-time college student willing to do anything to make them comfortable. But I don't have the necessary funds right now to get them a dental to relieve their pain. Would you please help in any way you can to alleviate their pain and allow them to enjoy what life they have left? Anything is much appreciated. Thank you!
