Give Sasha Mae a Chance to Play Again, UPDATE: 25 Mar 25

Hi, my name is Mario and I am a retired Navy veteran with PTSD, major depression and many physical issues but this is where Sasha Mae comes in. She is a rescue and a blessing. She has NEVER met a stranger. She literally will show love to everyone with touch therapy. I have bad days alot mentally and she has never failed to be there and will not leave me. If its real bad and I end up crying, She will put her head in my lap and smiles as if to say, its gonna be alright. She loves hard and plays hard. While having zoomies with a playmate, she stepped in a hole while running and tore ligiments. She needs surgery. They will saw off her kneecap,, ( I'm emotional to even think about it), reposition it and secure it with pins and screws. The cost at low is $7500 on the low side and $9000 on the hi. The doctor informed me that most dog that this happens to, are suspect for the other knee. She also informed me this may hapen again if I dont fill all the holes in Turbo Town. ( thats what I named there play area behind the house, in honor of my late shepard, who died unexpectantly from bladder stones. The estimates so far to fill and restore is as much as the surgery. Sasha Mae deserves this and more. She has helped alot of people get over their fear of dogs. If you are in the neighborhood, swing by for some doggie love. Even while shes hurting, she still wags her tail. Anything would help. Thanks

Sasha has started therapy and is responding well. Her back qtr looks so funny due to loss of muscle. I have her going up and down a small hill to help with muscle memory and flexibility. Along with Dr recommended exercises. Again thanks to everyone who stopped to at least read about this amazing dog. So many naysayers, even among friends, so thanks so very much to everyone for showing their love ❤️ .
