GIVE PEACE A CHANCE
It takes courage to make peace, much more than to make war

In recent years we’ve seen an unexpected return of extremisms and nationalisms kindled and supported by small-minded and short-sighted politics. Today, the current structure of all Countries and the dream of the founding fathers, who presented it as the dwelling place of peace and rights, mean that, more than ever before, it’s at risk of disintegration and ‘Balkanisation’, violently attacked on all sides.
Anyone and anywhere in the world lives may observe, discover, find, describe, document, record and finally post on our platform peaceful actions, events, operations, etc, already occured in 2020. You will be the sponsor of the peaceful act and become part of it and you will be honoured as Peace Evangelist.
An International Jury will award a prize to the three best Peaceful Acts in a online ceremony that will take place in Milan.
We want to reward, to complement the work of the Nobel Peace Prize, the unknown, the humble, the dispossessed who pass us by in silence and who may not even be aware that with their virtuous behavior they are changing the world.
Da alcuni anni assistiamo ad una repentina rinascita di estremismi e di nazionalismi suscitati e assecondati da una politica gretta e miope. Tutte le Nazioni, con i propri assetti attuali e con il sogno dei padri fondatori che le rappresentavano come dimora di pace e dei diritti, oggi più che mai sono a rischio di disgregazione, di balcanizzazione, attaccate violentemente da più parti.
Chiunque, ovunque viva, può mettersi a osservare, scoprire, trovare, descrivere, documentare, registrare e alla fine postare sulla nostra piattaforma azioni, eventi, operazioni accadute nel 2020, diventando così lo sponsor dell’azione di pace, diventando parte di essa e ricevere l’onore di essere nominato Peace Evangelist.
Una Giuria Internazionale aggiudicherà il premio ai tre migliori Atti di Pace in una cerimonia online che si terrà a Milano.
Noi vogliamo premiare, a complemento dell'operato del Nobel per la pace, gli sconosciuti, gli umili, i diseredati che ci passano accanto in silenzio e che magari non sono nemmeno consci che con i propri comportamenti virtuosi stanno cambiando il mondo.

If it’s true, once again quoting Pope Francis, that, “We’re living the third world war in pieces,” (video message in Spanish sent to the participants of the 23rd Social Pastoral Day), it’s no less true that, around the world, and with much less clamour, especially in local communities and among the most ordinary people, there is attention and welcome to others that win over indifference and throw a glimmer of light in relationships.
These insights weave new humanity into society, and emblematic projects for exchanges and peace until they become shared habits.
And all this often happens a long way from the economic, political and cultural centres, especially when these become self-referential. The suburbs are the paradoxical observatory of this agitation for peace. Read the full article
Se è vero, sempre citando Papa Francesco, che “Stiamo vivendo la terza Guerra Mondiale a pezzi” (video messaggio in spagnolo inviato ai partecipanti alla 23esima Giornata della Pastorale Sociale), non di meno nel mondo, sicuramente con meno clamore, soprattutto nelle comunità locali e fra le persone più semplici, nascono gesti controcorrente di attenzione e di accoglienza all’altro che vincono l’indifferenza e aprono uno spiraglio di luce nelle relazioni, si affermano intuizioni che intessono di nuovo umanesimo la società, progetti emblematici di dialogo e di pace diventano pratiche sociali fino a diventare abitudini condivise.
