Give Nakkie a Ugandan Wedding!

Hello Friends,

My friend Nakkie was born and raised in Kampala, Uganda. Even though she faced trials while young, she persevered and eventually won a visa to the United States, where she met her husband Stephen. Nakkie and Stephen were married last year and are now hoping to have a wedding in Uganda this summer. She loves her culture back home and misses her family there dearly.

Weddings in Uganda are a BIG deal. The entire community is invited and there are two different ceremonies; the introduction and the wedding.

Nakkie is a full-time student, and Stephen is the pastor of a small church in Northeast Portland. To make this happen, they will need our help!

So let’s do it! Let’s give Nakkie the wedding she has always dreamed of back in Uganda with her friends and family. We can make this dream a reality if we do it together.

The video below tells the whole story. In short, the expected costs are likely to be at least $9,000. This includes flights, the cost of the introduction, and the wedding cost.
