Give My Mother A Chance To Live

Donation protected
Leo Tolstoy wrote, "Happy families are all alike; every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way." Our unhappiness began in November of 2012. Angela is a mother of 3 daughters and a grandmother of 3. My mother, Angela, was rushed to the hospital only to find out that she was in urgent need of dialysis because her kidneys have failed due to high blood pressure. She was diagnosed with end stage renal disease. Since that day, she has been on dialysis for five long years. Life has been a rollercoaster for her since then. She has to go on dialysis four times a week just to rid her body of fluids and toxins. To people that have never heard of how dialysis works, it's basically a machine that receives blood from the body to clean it. After the blood has been cleaned, it is returned to the body through a second needle. This process drones on for three to four long hours. The only way to avoid dialysis after kidney failure is to receive a transplant. This transplant comes from a donor that has the same blood type. Recieving the transplant and having a surgery is a lot to go through. But even more so, the cost of recovery and the lifetime medication is something that we cannot go through alone. That is why we are reaching out to you, our friends and family, to help us in this time of need. We would greatly appreciate your help.
God has blessed her with a donor which would be her  daughter, who is a mom of a 6-year-old and is currently working full time. They are both still going through some testing and are unsure when the surgery will take place but we would like to be prepared.

This will require each of them to be out of work for at least a few months for a full recovery and therfore will need support on both ends. We are asking for donations that will go towards expenses during their recoveries, for example childcare, housing costs, caretaker costs, etc. As this is a major surgery, it is important that they take their time healing.

This is a selfless act on behalf of the donor who had to go through a very detailed process in order to ensure she was a match. She is willing to take a risk to give my mom a second chance at life with her children and grandchildren.  Their recovery will not be quick or easy but with the help and support from everyone it will make it easy for our loved ones.  No donation is too big or too small, we are grateful and appreciative for anything you can offer to help us get through our recovery.

Thank you!
