<div>Michael feels some anxiety when engaging with local charities that will help the unhoused, so he doesn't reach out. I'm not asking to reach the financial goal right away, just over time. I have helped Michael when I can with food, cash donations, and little gifts. He proudly wears the 'Weed' California hat I gave him regularly. Even though life is hard for him, he always has a warm smile for me and is full of gratitude.

<div>I'm not going to tell him of this fundraiser until I reach a certain limit. <strong>I want to surprise him at some point with the reality that funds have been raised to give him 3 to 6 months stay in a local motel.</strong> I feel, with that amount of time, Michael will feel some stability and will have the focus to look for work. He has tried, but it is difficult, with his small pup and himself, to find good work when life is perilous in other ways.

<div>I've researched several local Ashland Oregon motels, that include long-term and are pet friendly.  Michael has a close connection with the Relax Inn on Clover Street, but I looked at the Columbia Inn on Siskiyou Blvd, the Ashland Motel on Siskiyou Blvd, &amp; the Manor Motel on Siskiyou Blvd.  Prices per month range from just under $2000-just over 3000, including pet fees.  This may seem daunting, but I believe that together we can uplift &amp; show that random acts of kindness are possible for making the world &amp; our country a better place.
