Give me a Brake!

In 2019 I was crushed under a truck. Then COVID happened. My family took my children and ghosted me. My pipes burst in my home my electricity was shut off. I was forced to put my plans of owning a BnB on hold and live in what was supposed to be a shuttle van.

I got work washing dishes, and then house keeping, and doing laundry as my injuries healed.

I have tried to remain positive, keep move forward, and be of service.

The past few years have been full of setbacks, yet I keep going.

In September I was laid off of work. I found a new job I love but then my van broke down.

This wasn't the first time this happened and I finally know why. It seems my abusive ex boyfriend put something not motor oil in my engine, not radiator fluid in my coolant system, and not brake fluid in my brake line.

Hence the "give me a brake line." I know, it's a groaner.

I have already replaced the engine and the coolant system and put $1800 down towards the brakes. Unfortunately, every part of the brake system needs to be replaced. The total ticket price is $5700, meaning I need another $3900.

And it gets worse. During the time my van was broken down it appears my ex was going up to my home. He smashed out windows. Sold my tools, and ravaged every room of my house.

If I meet my goal I wont keep a single penny.

It will go to fixing the van. Turning on the electricity in my home and getting a ring security system.

I don't want to weather another winter in my vehicle. I miss cooking, and having friends over. I miss being a good friend.

I can't do this alone. If I could have, I would have by now. I need you.
