She’s survived trauma, illness, poverty, and abandonment - but now she’s hanging on by a thread. Let’s give her the breathing room she needs to heal.
Jess is a strong and deeply compassionate woman who has been fighting against the odds for much of her life. She lives with multiple chronic illnesses including lupus, MS, and fibromyalgia. Despite constant physical pain and limited access to medical care, she’s been trying to build a new life for herself after leaving an incredibly toxic and emotionally abusive relationship.
Right now, everything is happening at once:
• Her only source of transportation (which was a lemon to start with) is on the verge of being repossessed
• She’s trying to enroll in school to create a better future, but can’t get financial aid due to debt from her early 20s
• She’s dealing with an unsupportive family, poor mental health and deep exhaustion from trying to survive alone
She’s doing everything she can. She’s applying to schools, trying to get into infusion treatments for lupus, budgeting every single dollar - even donating plasma she probably needs herself - just to make ends meet. But it’s still not enough. What she really needs is a community to step in and offer some stability when the systems around her have failed.
I’m graciously asking for help to lift her up right now. We are hoping to raise at least $2000 to help cover:
• Emergency car payments or repairs
• Basic living expenses like groceries and utilities
• Initial school fees or mental health support
She didn’t ask for this fundraiser - but she needs it. And she deserves the chance to finally BREATHE without being buried under more panic and fear.
MANY of us have been in her shoes. Some of us received help, others didn’t. Most of us who were helped were only asked to pay it forward. If this resonates with you in any way, here’s a chance to do just that.
If you can give anything - even a few dollars - it would mean so much. And we understand if times are tough on you financially so if you can’t donate, please consider sharing this with someone who might be able to. Your support could be the reason she makes it through this next month.
Let’s remind her that she’s not alone. That people do care. And that she still has a future worth fighting for.
Thank you so much.
