My name is Shaianne Hewitt, and I’m reaching out during one of the hardest moments of my life. My mother, Deana Hewitt is nearing the end of her journey after a long, painful battle with cancer and addiction.

Although we didn’t get to share as much of life together as I wished, she has always been a significant part of my life — and my children’s lives. After beating cancer once, her greatest goal was to rebuild her relationship with her children and get to know her grandchildren.

She worked hard at it, despite facing more heartbreak than anyone should endure. She lost her father, then her uncle, and now, only a month later, she is very sick and in her final days.

I am raising $2,000 to give her the dignified farewell she deserves. The funds will go toward funeral expenses so that my children and I can lay her to rest with peace and love.
