HELP US RAISE 31.000 BRICKS FOR BUILDING A PRIMARY SCHOOL IN TANZANIA (READ BELOW)
Sawil Pax Academy is a pre-school and day care center for less fortunate children between the ages of 3 and 6 years old in rural Tanzania.
It is proved that 200 million children globally fail to reach their potential in cognitive development because of inter-related factors of poverty, inadequate care and poor health.
So the idea was to create a safe space so children of this little village could spend the day, while learning and having the appropriate support by caring volunteer teachers. Since it's foundation in 2014, more than 150 children graduated from Sawil Pax Academy. Among that number, 100 children were extremely poor and needed our assistance to move on with the education in primary school but we were able to fully support 25 kids in primary school, 30 kids we gave them a half support and referring them to local churches to look for support and 45 were left at their own.
But unfortunetely, this support is still far from ideal, and it is so sad to leave a child on his/her own in an early age, as most of them graduate at 5 years. So the dream of building a primary school in the village came to life.
This is the idea we bring to you today. We are raising 59000 bricks to build a modern primary school to help poor children in Tanzania. Each brick as an unitary cost of €0,47. However, in this first stage we intend to collect 31000 bricks (31000 * 0,47 = €14.570), as this would allow us to build and complete two complete classrooms.
This need is urgent as we want to help these kids at the fullest and change lives of more children from 2020. We project to help 240 poor, orphans and vulnerable children from 2020 and beyond in both our preschool and primary school in Magu district, Mwanza region, Tanzania.
The total project consists in 3 modern classrooms, 2 latrines blocks, 1 kitchen as premises needed for the primary school to start operating in January, 2020.
