Update:

Buddy did miraculously well during his surgery and was able to keep his leg. He has a check-up with the surgeon scheduled on July 8th. We are still trying to reach our goal towards the expenses of his surgery and care so we are still asking for your help with Buddy! Also, Buddy is in need of a loving forever home! Everyone that has had contact with Buddy says that he is the sweetest! Please contact me if you find it in your heart to take this precious boy in!

I work as a Paralegal for McGinity Law Firm at our Bogalusa location. Douglas McGinity recently found out there was an injured dog roaming around the Bogalusa Country Club. Due to his love and compassion for animals, yesterday he had us go out to rescue the dog and keep him until we could get his injuries assessed by a vet.

Today, the vet informed us that “Buddy” was only between 6 months to a year old, and that his injuries were caused by being shot. Buddy currently has a completely fractured leg and still has the bullet fragments inside his body. Buddy will need an expensive surgery that requires a special plate to be able to save his leg. This baby is as sweet as they get, and he really needs the community’s support!

McGinity Law Firm has fronted all the cost of taking him in, for his initial vet visit with x-rays, and will make sure Buddy receives the surgery he needs. Please consider making a donation towards this costly surgery that will save his leg! Thank you in advance!
