My daughter Brielle is a 15 year old beautiful little girl who is autistic, and one of the strongest people I know! Over the past few years, she has already endured spinal surgery and reconstructive foot surgery. Despite these challenges, she has faced everything with courage, grace and giggles.

She has always loved being active, running, moving freely, and especially participating in the Special Olympics, which brings her so much joy and pride. Unfortunately, the pain from her current condition has forced her to spend more time in her wheelchair, keeping her from the activities she loves most.

Recently, two aggressive tumors have developed at the site of her previous foot surgery. They are growing quickly, spreading under the tendons and nerves, and causing erosion in the bone. This has left her in significant pain, and without surgery, the condition will only worsen.

The surgery she needs must be performed by specialists who are out-of-network with our insurance. The out-of-pocket cost is a little over $10,000. As her mother, I’ve sold many of my belongings to cover a good portion of this expense, but I’ve reached a point where I cannot save the remaining balance quickly enough — and waiting months would mean more pain and more risk for her. She needs this surgery as soon as possible.

Every contribution, no matter the size, will help us get her the care she urgently needs. More than anything, it means giving my daughter relief from pain and the chance to return to the active, joyful life she loves.
