Batly is our 1-year-old girl. She is the most beautiful, incredible, sweet cat ever. Over the past month, we noticed she wasn't as interested in playing but was otherwise totally normal.
Over the weekend, she had some tummy trouble. Yesterday, she started showing signs of respiratory distress.
I took her to the emergency vet at 5 am, and she was admitted. At first, we were concerned about stomach or even uterine problems, but a lung x-ray showed that our issues were with her lungs.
As of right now, we don't know what the issue is. But, she has responded positively to the oxygen chamber and has finally started eating and being more responsive.
I don't know what the final outcome will be, but my hope is to get her through this initial period and follow up with her excellent vet team.
Her deposit for hospitalization was $2800. I was able to put it on CareCredit and other credit.
Her ER vet called and said she is stable and beginning to respond to the treatment so far.
Please, anything you can send her way will be greatly appreciated. She is such a good little kitty, and she deserves the best shot to survive. Thank you. Apologies if this is a rambling story, we are very emotional but hopeful for a good outcome.
