Jesse and Nicole Blankenship are the kind of people who always put others first. Even in their own toughest seasons, they’ve been the ones to quietly step in when someone needed help; whether it was covering a bill, offering a warm meal, or lending a listening ear without judgment. Their generosity has never been about recognition; it’s simply who they are.

Now, life has brought them to a moment where they need the same kindness they’ve so freely given. Jesse is currently out of work, recovering from a painful back injury that has made it impossible for him to hurry back to work.

Yesterday, Jesse took a fall from a ladder, not only falling onto his back, but also hitting a work bench on his way down. He now has vertebrae fractures in his L1, L2, L3 and rib #11. He is going to need time to rest and heal, without worrying about how to care for his family.

This isn’t a family that asks for help lightly. As a matter of fact, myself and Brittany, Jesse’s sister, made the executive decision to make this gofundme. But just as they’ve stepped up for so many in the past, we have the chance to step up for them now.
