I'm going to give this another try. About a year and a half ago, I started a GoFundMe for our four-year-old German Shepherd, Artemis, when she tore her first ACL and needed surgery. Luckily, we managed to get her first surgery done in September last year, and she was starting to get back to normal — we even saw her playful puppy side return after the procedure. She now needs a second surgery because her other knee has gone out. This surgery will be a permanent fix like the first, and we're hopeful she'll be back to her happy, loving self soon.

She’s only five years old, and she’s such a joyful, well-behaved dog. She also has hip dysplasia, about 50%, which isn’t too severe but isn’t great either. She’s already had one knee surgery on her back right leg, and now she needs another on her back left leg. She’s incredibly loved and means a lot to our family — she’s more than just a companion. She helps my wife with a lot of her mental needs, and she’s been with us since our son was about four years old. We had gotten her as a puppy so that way they could grow up together.
