Gita Radhakrishna Feed the Hungry Memorial Fund

Gita Radhakrishna shared her love through food. She fed family, friends, and strangers with their favorite foods and introduced them to new cuisines. Her shrimp curry was a favorite and she once cooked 50 pounds of Chicken Curry for an Indian Independence Day Fundraiser for a Domestic Violence Shelter in Topeka, Kansas and her recipe was published in the newspaper.

In Gita's family, it is tradition to donate to feed the hungry after a death in the family. Consider a contribution to the local Emergency Food Bank of Stockton or you can make one to your local food bank in her honor.

More information about Emergency Food Bank (Stockton/San Joaquin): The mission of the Emergency Food Bank is to build a stronger community by providing a safety net of food, nutrition and health education, job training and hope to residents of San Joaquin County who find themselves in an emergency situation. We further advance our mission by supporting those organizations, groups and community events whose goals and mission target similar community building and healthy lifestyles.
