Claire Girouard Memorial Fund

My. Name is Lorie Clayton I live in West deptford NJ. On Saturday  January 6th my  dear friend  Claire at 47 years old lost her battle with lung cancer. Claire was diagnosed just 8  short  months ago . She didn't want to hear how severe her cancer was for she knew she would put her boxing gloves on and fight with everything she had, and she did. Claire had continuous chemo and radiation and continued to fight through the sickness and never gave up. She continued to take care  of  her husband and 4 children as well as her  family and friends. She made sure that every holiday, birthday and just everyday was like it was when she was cancer free . Or even better, She did everything for everyone and never asked or wanted  for anything in return.
Claire was beautiful on the outside but just as  beautiful on the inside, her warm friendly personality and giving heart shined through her always. If you needed a laugh you knew you were getting it with her awesome sense of humor.  She would do absolutely anything for anybody and she did. If you needed her she was always there.  She will be so incredibly missed.  
Claire leaves behind her  loving husband of 26 years and her 4 amazing children. 
With Claires diagnoses she immediately had to stop working  and  now rely  on one income.  Joe has missed a lot of work and pay. 
 Claires  medical bills and funeral expenses  are going to be very difficult to pay on top of home expenses and college.  All of the money donated will go directly to Claire's husband Joe Giouard.  The funds will be given to Joe in the form of a cashiers check.
