Zollie's Angels Girls Rock Mentoring Program

On August 13, 2012 I received a horrible phone call from family. On that day my cousins Nakisha Jackson childs father killed her and their daughter Kamiyah, and then killed his self. This is because of a relationship that started at the age of 15. Domestic violence is real. Nearly 1.5 million high school students nationwide experience physical abuse from a dating partner in a single year. One in three adolescents in the U.S. is a victim of physical, sexual, emotional or verbal abuse from a dating partner, a figure that far exceeds rates of other types of youth violence. One in 10 high school students has been purposefully hit, slapped or physically hurt by a boyfriend or girlfriend I started my girls group because I wanted girls to have someone that they could come to if they couldn't call anyone else. I work with them and constantly emphasize the importance of self love. I send them motivational quotes everyday for empowerment. I named the group Nae & Koo's Crew because any time someone asks what that stands for they have to tell their story. They won't die in vain, and will forever live on in our hearts I am asking for donations to aid my organization in taking the girls on exposure trips for new experiences. The funds would also be used to help with their weekly activities. Our dream is to take them on an HBCU Tour.
