Thank you for taking the time to check out and hopefully support this initiative! To start with introductions, I am Kathleen Liech from Nairobi, Kenya. During my senior year in high school, I did my senior thesis on Female Genital Mutilation and early marriages, my essential question being: Female Genital Mutilation and Early Marriages; cultural norm or lack of women's health education?

About a year ago, I started my journey on actively researching and advocating on women's rights and health issues, specifically against the harmful practice that is Female Genital Mutilation. I teamed up with a couple friends from Kenya, and we started an organization that aims at eradicating Female Genital Mutilation through civil education and spreading awareness. As I mark my second year in this journey, I want to focus more on physical violence against women.

My team and I are raising money that will go towards holding seminars in rural areas of Kenya to educate the community on health dangers and effects of FGM on women both physically and psychologically to spread awareness. The money will also go towards purchasing sanitary pads for young women who do not have enough resources to buy some. We provide the sanitary pads every 4 months. Please help us reach our goal of $800 to support this cause. Any donation will be greatly appreciated! Even $5 goes a long way!
