Help Send Our Superstar to Nationals

She won a bid to the National Invention Convention, and we need help getting her there!

At the Connecticut Invention Convention this weekend when Olivia's name was called as a “Recognized Inventor” we both squealed with shock and delight. We had the most delightful day waking around the UConn campus. She imagined herself working in the bookstore, and skating in the rink, she sat in one of the classrooms for a moment and just smiled with pure joy....

This girl of ours dreamed big dreams this weekend, and one of them came true.

Her invention, Kitty Kleaner, was awarded a bid to the National Invention Convention in Detroit, Michigan  taking place at the end of the month. The registration fees and travel expenses will total over $2,000.

We are a very fortunate family. We have everything we need and more. However, this expense is very unexpected, and we can all have a good laugh at the realities: I work for a civil rights non-profit, and David takes pictures of ballerinas for a living. :) It simply isn't in my nature to let this girl down, so I must try to fund raise for her to be able to attend.

We would greatly appreciate any support you can give to send our girl to the National Invention Convention.

Thank you, Finn

(Local givers, Olivia will bake and deliver treats to thank you for your support.)
