Golf Match to Support My Team Triumph

Coach Mengel vs. Elle O’Reilly: Golf Match to Support myTEAM TRIUMPH What started as a friendly bet  has grown into an event to support Westosha Central girls golf and raise funds for a racing wheelchair to donate to myTEAM TRIUMPH in Seth Bayles' name. The golf coach, John Stewart, bet Westosha Central varsity football coach, Tyson Mengel, that he couldn’t beat freshman girls golfer Elle O'Reilly  in a golf match.  They decided to play and bring awareness to a great cause. Event Details  The event will take place at Brightondale Golf Course on October 27. The event will feature: ·        Golf match between Coach Mengel and Elle O’Reilly – the main event! ·        The boys' football team will play rounds with the girls' golf team to see how they can keep up with the girls. ·        Speed golf  rounds attempting to beat myTEAM TRIUMPH and their golf partner, an experienced speed golfer. We invite you to join us in sponsoring this event to bring attention to girls' golf at Westosha Central High School and the fantastic causes of myTEAM TRIUMPH and Matthias Academy. About Seth Bayles   Seth is a high school student at Westosha Central. Around age seven, he was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease.  Even though he continues to face challenges, he keeps a smile on his face and is constantly looking for ways to help others. He has participated in many races through myTEAM TRIUMPH, an organization that embraces, celebrates, and empowers those with disabilities to foster lifelong relationships through community athletics. Many kids like Seth have plans to attend Matthias Academy  after high school. Matthias Academy serves adults with mild to severe disabilities, specialized medical needs, behaviors, and mild to severe autism from Illinois and Wisconsin. Donations will go towards the purchase of a race wheelchair for myTEAM TRIUMPH to use in honor of Seth. Any funds brought in above and beyond the cost of the race chair will be given to Matthias Academy and the Westosha girls’ golf program.
