I have held out as long as I could, but now I'm afraid I have to beg.
As you know, all restaurants were forced to close in March due to this awful Coronavirus and the resulting lockdown. Because of this, restaurant workers no longer have an income since most of them work for tips.
On behalf of the service staff at Girello Trattoria, I am asking for your support. Any contribution at all, large or small, will be an enormous help.
My name is Steven Wallace and I work as a bartender at Girello Trattoria at 11 Varick Street in Tribeca.
I have worked at this beautiful little restaurant for the past three years. During this time, I have grown very fond of our staff and our loyal patrons.
The well being of our staff is crucial at this point, and that is why I am reaching out to all of you now. We plan to distribute the proceeds equally to all of our employees, both front of the house and back of the house.
