Giovonni Papalia

As you may or may not of heard - our sweet Giovanni (12 years old) had a terrible accident on Saturday, May 4th.  He was holding a powerful firework in his left hand and it exploded in his hand.  The blast caused serious damage to his left hand resulting in the loss of 3 fingers, he also sustained several burns and cuts to his torso, arms and legs, as well as damage to both ear drums and eyes.  The strong surgical team saved his little finger and they are hoping to save the knuckle of the thumb.  This was the first of what could be many surgeries.   He is healing remarkably well and his spirits are good.   They head back today to the hospital in Gainesville, FL for a follow up appointment and will have more information regarding his recovery. 

This is organized to help support Giovanni, Jody and Donna with the expenses of this journey of uncharted waters.  If you know this family, you know that they are always there for others and give unconditionally always.
