Ginger Root is a black male progressive political group, associated with We The People Action Fund, working to build up the socio-emotional and political well being of working class black men and boys in the city of Detroit. Currently we’re in the midst of our “Man, Speak Up!” Campaign, focused on bettering the mental health of black men and boys and ultimately our goal is to have a line item in the city budget dedicated to mental health services.

Sunday, August 10th, 2025, members will be volunteering with “All Gold Everything ENT” in their Back To School drive and we’re giving away backpacks and school supplies for children going back to school. All money will be going towards school supplies such as
