Gina's Cancer Treatment

Gina and Goran Hunjak are beloved members of the Kansas City community. Gina has been diagnosed with Glioblastoma Brain Cancer, Grade 4.  It is the most aggressive and worst brain cancer you can have. With immediate intervention, her life expectancy is 3 months to a maximum of one year.

We are seeking help for her care.

Here’s the back story: Goran and Gina are a beautiful couple known for their love of Jesus Christ and also their love for ministering to others. They are parents to 3 children and 8 grandchildren, with one more on the way.  Through their ministry Victory Soccer, they’ve seen hundreds of people make life-changing decisions for Christ. Just recently, Gina was having some complications with her day-to-day tasks. On Thursday, May 13th, she was rushed into the emergency room with complaints of a headache. Doctors ordered an MRI of the brain and discovered the tumor. Her situation worsened. She struggled to find words, and her ability to read and comprehend declined rapidly. The doctors also found an excessive amount of swelling around the brain. She had to go into immediate and invasive surgery on the brain. The tumor was removed, and a biopsy taken. The biopsy showed the Glioblastoma Brain Cancer, Grade 4.  We’ve spent hours consulting with doctors and they have given us little hope pursuing a conventional medicine route (chemo, radiation etc). However, we are pursuing alternative treatment through a network of clinics and MD's that have specialized in treating this specific cancer and have had successful results.

 After all the consultations we have pursued, we believe that this approach will give Gina the best chance (with the help of our God) at fighting back this cancer and beating the odds. We are seeking help for Gina’s medical care. The IMMEDIATE treatment needs, and expenses are $30,000.  The ongoing treatment, needs and expenses are $150,000.
