Gills wish for a bench with a view.

Hi everyone, I'm fundraising for my dear friend Gillian Kennedy who was suddenly diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer on the 1st April 2021 at age 47. Gillian was given the diagnosis that the cancer had spread to 14 parts of her body, and at best, if she tolerated 72 hours of chemo every 2 weeks and completed the 12 gruelling rounds of Folfirinox chemotherapy she could extend her life for 12 months.

Today, as I write this, Gillian is on round 10 of her chemo and is fighting to stay here for as long as she can. Gillian has a 12 year old son and husband that she is devastated to leave behind.

Anyone who knows Gillian (Gill to me and many other) knows that she is the kindest, happiest human to walk this earth. She is a breath of fresh air and we are all going to miss her amazing laugh and banter.

For a long time, Gill has enjoyed the views from her garden overlooking the Tay. She has often spoke of a memorial bench. So I would like to ask all of her friends and family to help make her wish come true and work together to get her a nice bench for her garden that her family can use when she sadly is no longer with us.

I hope to raise the funds in time for Gill to be able to enjoy the bench herself and give her comfort that she achieved her wish. Any left over funds if we manage to meet the target, will go to the family to hopefully book in one last holiday at their favourite StAndrews.

There won't be a funeral service with the usual option to make a donation, as our ever happy and bubbly girl is choosing to have a living celebration of life to create more happier memories for her nearest and dearest.
