Tim Gilboy and Family

As some of you already know a dear friend, East Helena teacher, brother, and father,  Tim Gilboy, suffered a major stroke on Monday evening at home.  Kathy promptly called 911 and Tim received medical support within 15-20 minutes.  They moved him to Benefis Hospital in Great Falls after midnight on Tuesday. The stroke was considered to be major, resulting in a complete loss of feeling and paralysis on his left side.  Kathy reported that Tim is completely cognizant, did not suffer any memory loss, and is still a smart@#$!  However, the road to recovery will be lengthy.   Once Tim is more stable, Tim will receive physical therapy at a rehabilitation center in Great Falls.

His family is confident that Tim's strong, Irish, fighting spirit and stubborn nature will aid in his recovery.  For now, Tim, Kathy, and their children will need continued love and support by family, friends, and the community. 

Tim could be in Great Falls for 4-6 weeks.  Funds will go directly to his family for travel, food, hotel, and medical expenses.
