Gigi's Medical Expenses

As most of you know, my niece Gigi was born with a heart condition known as Transportation of the Great Arteries. At just 12 days old our little angel underwent open heart surgery to repair her heart. This little warrior is now 6 years old!
Almost three weeks ago our family's lives were forever changed when we received the news that Gigi's blood pressure dropped and her heart went into an arrhythmia during an outpatient dental procedure. The doctors thankfully were able to stabilize her but deemed it necessary to have her admitted to the children's hospital for further testing. It wasn't long after being admitted that her heart fell into another arrhythmia and Gigi was stabilized once more.
While the doctors were testing for any blockages in her arteries, Gigi went into full cardiac arrest. She had to be given CPR and chest compressions for 60 minutes. She was then rush to the OR for and emergency open heart surgery as her arteries were getting little to no oxygen.
Her operation that day lasted 10 hours while our families sat in the waiting room scared to death that our little angel was once again undergoing this scary surgery. Gigi ended up in the OR a total of 5 times through her stay at PCH. She is literally the strongest human I know. She has beat so many odds and is continuing to fight the big fight.
Gigi may have a long road to recovery but I am positive that if she can get through all of this, she can get through anything. She will soon be back to the sassy, vibrant little girl we all know and love.
We are all very thankful for the incredible doctors and nurses at Phoenix Children's Hospital that treated her. Because of them, Gigi is alive and healing beautifully. Lastly, on behalf of my brother and my family, thank you for all of the love and support you've shared. We are blessed to have such amazing family and friends.
