We are pouring all of our donations back into the communities we serve. We are assisting families in need who may encounter a financial burden this holiday season. Our communities are still facing the Covid-19 pandemic, and now possibly evictions, utility disconnections, and risks of not being able to pay other bills. There has been a huge surge in rent increases here in the valley. Many families who reached out to us are on month-to-month leases and yearly leases. In both cases they have been provided a 30-day notice from their landlord that their rent will increase. We have seen increases range from $300 to $600 additional per month. This issue can lead to large cutbacks as a family and the kids are usually the first to be affected. Holiday celebrations are always one of the cutbacks and Gervonni Cares just want to bring joy with a toy to our neighboring communities who have families in need of our service. Thereafter, our goal is to continue to help these individuals/families with programs that connect them to financial opportunities that make a long-lasting difference.
