Gifts Of Grace Album Birthing Fund

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Seraphina and I am raising money to pay for the birthing, (production), of my debut album, Gifts of Grace.

In January this year, I bought a harmonium, having never played one before but being deeply drawn to its resonance. As soon as my fingers touched the keys, something deep inside me stirred. Not long after, songs began to pour out of me. This was something of a shock as I had never written a song in my life or considered myself to be either a singer or songwriter!

However, the songs kept coming, many about my journey through several abusive relationships, childhood trauma, falling pregnant and getting married as a teenager and the grief of being a traumatised mother. Many about the sacred fires we may find ourselves being burned in time after time. That are so frightening when we are in them but which burn away all that is not us to reveal our true nature.

The songs have been my medicine and my healing, an expression of the light that always shines in the darkness and of the hope that comes when all seems lost. As I began sharing the songs with some of my community, the response was overwhelming. Many people have shared that the songs touch something very deep inside them, that the songs help them to shed tears that have long been held inside, that they offer hope and courage through dark times. Increasingly people said that the songs need to be shared with the world, need to be out there.

So although this feels rather terrifying, I am as an act of deepest service now birthing an album. The album is called Gifts of Grace because each song in its own way offers the possibility of returning to love, to peace, to hope.

I have recorded 13 songs to honour the 13 moons and I now am ready to have the songs produced, to allow them to find their own unique life and form, to be fully birthed.

The cost of this is £3000 and I would so appreciate support for this birthing to take place. I am doing this not just for me, but for all the women out there who have gone through what I have gone through. To be a living example that we can get through, to sing strength, courage and healing into the world. To be a beacon of light, love and possibility. This album is something I can't NOT do! It feels like my sacred duty and my calling.

It's very uncomfortable to ask for help and I feel much safer giving. It feels achingly vulnerable to reach out for support. But it is also deeply humbling and a reminder, we can't do it alone. So I would gratefully receive donations big and small- every single penny matters and is deeply honoured and appreciated. Thank you.

Everyone donating will be invited to my first gig where I'll be sharing songs from the album on Sunday 27th October in St Leonards. This gig will be exclusively for my supporters.

With love, blessings and respect.
